I have been writing for a long time. I have been writing in blog spaces since my early 20’s. This is actually my first paid subscription. I wrote two books in my 20’s, which I took off the shelves a couple years ago, because I’m so far removed from the person that I was nearly a decade ago.
I write from my heart. I write from my soul. Nothing calms me like putting my emotions on a page. Sometimes it’s difficult to verbalize what I’m feeling in the moment. Whether it’s my heart getting attached to things and people who do not serve me, or getting caught up in my emotions because life can suck the air out of us sometimes.
I write for the misfits, the quirky and the introverted humans who’d much rather play the “background.” I write for the people with big dreams that are often drowned out by the noise of society. I write for the humans who are passionate about the environment, the world and humanity.
You’re loved, you’re valid, and you’re necessary. I do not know what today holds but it’s the second day of my 30 day yoga challenge. I’m trying to reconnect with myself. So much has changed me over the past five years and that’s ok, but I need realignment. I need to focus on my “why” and on my purpose. I’m finding peace in accepting my flaws, my quirks and all the things that make me who I am. Namaste.
